In 2005, I just finished the restoration of this 1967 Type2.  I replaced the entire bottom 8" of the vehicle: minor frame repair,
whole sub fram
e, floor supports...added side impact rails for safety.  The rocker panels, cargo doors and wheel wells were
also given thorough attention.  All new work was industrially sandblasted & immediately self-etching epoxy primed & double
undercoated

This summer
The Bus got some minor service, all the interior, freshened up the 2007CC engine, installed the new
transmission, touched up the chrome and gave it a whole new paint scheme.  Most people would not have been up to the
challenge of restoring a vehicle with 286,000 miles on it...it just goes to show that NO TASK IS INTIMIDATING!

(Well,
I wanted to...I rode 204,000 of those miles in 16 years.)
